In the blink of an eye, February has come to a close. At Peace Lily, as we take a moment to reflect on the first two months of 2025, we choose to focus on gratitude and seek out the positives and beauty around us. 

This is not to shrug off the larger economic and global issues around, and seeming chaos, but rather to actively contribute to the solution.

SPRING FAIR

This month, we found beauty in our connections with the artisans at the Spring Fair. We cherish the warm feelings that arose during these interactions with each of them. We admire each one of them for their courage to pursue their dreams. There may be many rejections along the way, but it only takes one ‘yes’.

At the Spring Fair, we spotted at least seven gifting trends.

These trends reflect a growing desire to connect with nature and prioritise sustainability in our gifting choices. The emphasis on eco-conscious and ethical products highlights a collective awareness of our environmental impact, encouraging us to choose gifts that align with these values.

The rise of botanical candles and fragrances underscores a yearning for natural, soothing scents that bring the outdoors inside, transforming our spaces into serene sanctuaries. Likewise, the trend towards muted tones for children’s toys and accessories suggests a preference for calming, understated aesthetics that foster a sense of peace and comfort.

For our beloved pets, the expanding range of gift options speaks to their cherished place in our lives, while unplugged living products encourage moments of mindfulness and presence, away from the constant buzz of technology.

Finally, the enduring appeal of the colour pink, in all its beautiful shades, adds a playful yet sophisticated touch to gifts, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.

Popcorn Lovers Day gives us a reason to enjoy this beloved snack in all its buttery, salty glory. St Patrick’s Day invites us to embrace a bit of luck and celebrate with friends and family in festive fashion, while the First Day of Spring marks a time of renewal and fresh beginnings.

As we reach the end of the month, International Waffle Day and Mother’s Day offer opportunities to show love and appreciation through thoughtful gestures and warm gatherings. Let's not forget the significance of the end of Ramadan, a time for reflection and celebration with our Muslim friends and family.

From International Women’s Day on the 8th to Mother’s Day on the 30th, March is truly a month of honouring and celebrating the incredible women in our lives. It's a time to reflect on the strength, resilience, and love they bring into the world. Whether you’re cherishing your mother, celebrating with the important women in your life, there are so many opportunities to express gratitude and appreciation.

CLOCKS SPRING FORWARD

One last reminder: As you prepare for the 30th (Mother's Day), remember that the clocks will spring forward by one hour on that day. This means sunrise and sunset are an hour later. The clocks change at 1am, which means we'll lose an hour of sleep! If you've made any reservations, they may be starting an hour earlier than you expect!
