Autumn - A Season of Firsts
What an amazing few weeks it has been! There have been many exciting firsts, including a very first trade show! I had hoped to post something on the blog by the end of September, but it has been an incredibly full-on time. Sleep has been scarce (as the saying goes, you can sleep when you're dead)!
Peace Lily participated in the Autumn Fair, and I was wonderfully supported by Barbara and Judith (thank you, ladies!).
At the Autumn Fair, we introduced our very first corporate cards designed by Peace Lily and printed in the UK on responsibly sourced paper (of course!), along with our expanding range that now features delightful cheeses gifts with cheese from the Isle of Kintyre, truffle crisps gifts, and much more! I need to share some pictures and details about the new products on social media!

In some ways, I felt like I was working in isolation (that’s WFH and e-commerce for you!), so attending the trade show at the NEC was a breath of fresh air. I had the pleasure of meeting exceptionally generous exhibitors and the kindest, most talented artisans. Every day, I’m grateful for the warmhearted individuals I’m fortunate enough to collaborate with. I’m currently partnering with a couple of makers, and we’re excited to introduce new products that will complement our artisan, eco-friendly gifts and hampers made in the UK.
The enthusiastic reception to our gifts and hampers was truly astonishing, especially the interest in higher-ticket items from overseas buyers. I never considered exporting as the next step!
I also took the test for my personal license qualification, and I'm thrilled to report that I passed on the first attempt, scoring 39 out of 40 (I suspect there might have been a misprint on one question—I'm still curious about which one it was).
This probably gives you a glimpse into my character and what happens at Peace Lily. I always give my all and strive for excellence, and that’s what you can expect from Peace Lily too. We are committed to ensuring that all our customers are completely satisfied.
There's much more to come in the next few weeks, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can check in here for another update.
Wishing you a wonderful month,
D.
